  2. SYMPTOMS gradually begin with headache, loss of appetite, backache, chilly
  3. sensations, constipation and abdominal pain. In a few cases rose-colored
  4. spots may appear on the chest and abdomen. Sometimes diarrhea & Pneumonia.
  5. CAUSES are an infection by S. typhi bacteria. The bacteria may be transmitted
  6. by contaminated milk, food and water, or from urine or stool of an already
  7. infected person.
  8. TREATMENT. Replacement of fluid, antibiotics and nursing care.
